Privacy Policy

We collect only what a reading app needs: the email you give us to join the waitlist or hold an account, and privacy-friendly, aggregate usage data (page views, device type) to understand what people read.

• Aggregate product analytics such as page views, browser type, device type, and referral source.
• Basic account and entitlement records when you subscribe or sign in.

We use your information to run Maraschino: send waitlist and account emails, unlock paid access, understand what stories people read, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

We do not sell reader data. We do not use your reading activity to build an advertising profile.

We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across other sites or build an advertising profile.

Your data is stored with Supabase (database and accounts) and Vercel (hosting), both in the United States. Story generation runs through OpenRouter; no reader data is ever sent to those models. On iOS, subscriptions are processed by Apple and RevenueCat — we never see your card number.

We don't use advertising cookies. Your 17-or-older confirmation is stored locally on your device so we don't ask again.

Email us and we'll show you what we hold or delete your account and data.

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message. Account, subscription, and safety-related emails may still be sent when needed to operate the service.

Maraschino is for readers 17 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 17.

We may update this policy as Maraschino changes. When we do, we'll update the date on this page and keep the newest version available here.
